Tom Telesco seems to have a clear plan in place as he builds a championship contender. Going into the draft, the Chargers had very few major needs. That allowed Telesco to grab impact players in each of the first two rounds and after that, he had the luxury to take some more chances on players that could add depth or were developmental projects.
That’s a good position to be in.
But what effect will the seven players the Chargers chose have on the 2019 season? That remains to be seen, but each selection certainly put at least one player on notice or the fact that a certain position wasn’t targeted may have provided some relief for others.
