The idea of bringing in several new safeties was expected this offseason, especially after the team chose to move on from veteran Jahleel Addae. That left Derwin James, Adrian Phillips, Jaylen Watkins and Rayshawn Jenkins as the only safeties on the roster.
Nasir Adderley was drafted in the second round and there is another level of excitement surrounding him and what he can do.
Teamer will have to make the team by going the undrafted route. He was a starter in all four of his seasons for the Green Wave after attending high school in New Orleans.
