The Chargers finished the season 5-11 but they were only outscored by their opponents by eight total points on the season, showing how close many of their games were. By comparison, the Oakland Raiders, who finished with two more wins than the Chargers, were outscored by 106 points.
The Chargers also had no home-field advantage, something that has been a trend since the move to L.A. They went just 2-6 this season at Dignity Health Sports Park. The team will move into SoFi Stadium next year.
But there are positives to take from every season and that is what will be focused on here.
