The LA Chargers already have one of the toughest roads to win their division in the NFL as they have to overcome the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Led by 24-year-old quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are situated to be Super Bowl contenders in 2020 yet again.
Any hope that the Cheifs’ window of contention would shrink has been thrown out the window as the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have reportedly agreed to a 10-year contract extension. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first had the news.
According to Schefter, the 10-year extension is worth around $450 million with a $140 million injury guarantee.
