The LA Chargers made the move that many fans were expecting them to make before NFL free agency began and cut veteran cornerback Casey Hayward. The two-time All-Pro was not himself in 2020 and the Chargers saved $9.75 million against the cap in 2021.

With or without Hayward, the Bolts had a lot to figure out at the corner position.
