Joey Bosa wins Rookie of the Week but anybody who watched the game (or his college tape) wasn’t surprised. In the Chargers win in Atlanta the first round pick finished with 5 tackles and 2 sacks. His first sack came against Left Tackle Jake Mathews where he used his bull rush off the edge, showing his speed and power all while fighting Mathews hands off. Tenny Palepoi did a good job of helping collapse the pocket by looping over to the other side and giving Matt Ryan no space while Bosa cleans it up. Here’s the first sack:
The second sack was against Right Tackle Ryan Schraeder and Bosa showed perfect technique.
