The honeymoon had to end eventually. It always does. After a 3-0 start with three straight wins over division opponents, the LA Chargers dropped the stinker of all stinkers in a 21-18 loss to the New York Giants.
A lot went wrong for the Chargers in the game but the primary takeaway was simple: this offensive line is legitimately concerning. An already banged-up offensive line lost Joe Alt in the first half and couldn't survive without him. Justin Herbert was under duress all game.
In a much more somber press conference than the first three weeks, head coach Jim Harbaugh was asked about his offense's performance, and in particular, how he felt the offensive line did.
