The Chargers are 1-1 and are set to take on the 0-2 Panthers this Sunday afternoon. Fortunately for the Bolts, Carolina be without reigning Offensive Player of the Year, Christian McCaffrey, so there’s one huge presence the defense will not have to account for this week.
Without CMC, the Panthers offense has been rather ho-hum. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has only thrown for a single touchdown - compared to two interceptions - and hasn’t got a ton of help from his supporting cast outside of deep threat Robbie Anderson (15-223-1). Even so, the likes of Anderson, DJ Moore, and Curtis Samuel all pose as threats for opposing defenses with their speed and athleticism.
