How do the Chargers fill the void of Malcom Floyd?

Since Malcom Floyd joined the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2004, the organization has not heavily invested draft picks on pass-catchers. In their defense, they haven’t really had to over the past decade. The art of finding undrafted talent like Floyd and Antonio Gates (one year prior) has allowed the Bolts to supply Philip Rivers with ample weapons throughout his career. Now, at age 34, Floyd will be hanging up the cleats and there will be an undeniable void left within the offense heading into the 2016 season. At 6’5″, he possessed an uncanny ability to track the deep ball and provided a veteran deep-threat will be hard to replace.
