When Ty Long took the field with just under two minutes to go, the chances of a Chargers victory seemed slim to none. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky then guided the Bears down the field and put them in a position to win, and it seemed like the Chargers would suffer yet another close loss. Then, Bears kicker Eddy Piñeiro missed a potential game-winning field goal. The team was desperate for a win in any way possible, and they finally had good fortune swing their way on Sunday.
The offense looked stagnant for most of the first half, but a big play from Mike Williams gave them enough of a spark to get the job done.
