Mayor Kevin Faulconer has yet to give a clear, firm opinion on the "convadium" plan the Chargers have proposed for downtown San Diego.
A Faulconer opponent opted against endorsing the team's proposal Wednesday while outlining his position.
Ed Harris, a mayoral candidate, said he supports The Citizens' Plan in the belief that it would lead to a downtown stadium, while checking off other boxes.
Talking with Chargers flagship 1360 AM, Harris was given the chance to endorse the Chargers' plan.
He declined to do so, describing The Citizens' Plan as the better option.
