Reggie Bush, chatting football last week, brought up a name.
“Andy Reid is a mastermind,” said Bush, the former USC and NFL running back, who grew up in La Mesa cheering the Chargers. “He knows how to get the best out of his players. He consistently puts them in position to win. That’s why I’ve always been a fan of his.”
Bush added: “He’s the one coach I wish I could have played for.”
This week when the Chargers and Philip Rivers parted ways after 16 years together without a Super Bowl berth, Bush’s praise for Reid reverberated
Simply, Reid did his job too well, the Bolts unable to keep pace after “Big Red” took over the Chiefs seven years ago.
