Now that we sports writers know who Stephen Puetz is — the chief of staff to San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer — what seemed like a random, if childish, Tweet a few months ago bends a few light rays now.
I will try to unpack the Tweet.
Puetz is jabbing the journalistic chops of Chargers.com, which is like jabbing a shrub for not being a mountain. Also, he tries to tar a would-be political rival with the Spanos brush.
And I thought the football game could be bizarre and inane.
