Chargers' giveaway to Chiefs worst loss of Mike McCoy era

Good Morning.

Nick Canepa of The San Diego Union-Tribune called Sunday’s squandering of a 21-point, second-half lead the worst loss for the San Diego Chargers during head coach Mike McCoy’s tenure. Canepa calls the loss embarrassing and suggests Chargers president of football operations John Spanos should turn the team over to Philip Rivers.

My take: I agree that Sunday’s loss was the worst of the McCoy era, considering the quick and complete meltdown by his team when the game was at stake. It definitely was not a good look, and continues the trend from last season of McCoy finding ways to lose at the end of games instead of finding ways to win.
