On Monday afternoon, the Chargers announced the signing of former South Carolina wide receiver Dalevon Campbell following a tryout during the team’s rookie mini camp. In a corresponding move, the team is waiving offensive lineman Bucky Williams.
Campbell played six collegiate seasons between three different programs. After starting at the University of Illinois (2019-2021), he spent two seasons at Nevada (2022-2023) before finishing his career with the Gamecocks.
The 6’4, 205-pound Campbell was named a Honorable Mention All-Mountain West selection following the 2023 season where he hauled in 31 passes for 594 yards and two touchdowns.
