Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Chargers signed wide receivers Jamaal Jones and Da’Ron Brown to reserve/future contracts.
Jones was signed last year by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent but was placed on the reserve-injured list after he was injured near the beginning of training camp. He was eventually waived in August. A productive college player out of Montana, the 6’1”, 189-pound Jones went undrafted in spite of holding career receiving records and garnering second-team All-American honors. He’s a moderately interesting player and could potentially catch on at the bottom of the roster in 2017.
