Chargers sign OT Rashawn Slater to 4-year, $114 million contract extension

The wait is finally over.

The Chargers and offensive tackle Rashawn Slater agreed to a four-year, $114 million contract extension on Sunday afternoon that immediately makes him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history. The deal also includes a record $92 million in guaranteed money.

Since being selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Northwestern, Slater has started all 52 games he has appeared in.
