Chargers rookie Trey Pipkins quietly improves in third game

The Chargers are struggling along the offensive line, which is alarming considering they only face preseason talent. Granted, they are doing it without Mike Pouncey and Russell Okung, as well as without signal caller Philip Rivers to mask their deficiencies. Trey Pipkins, the team’s third-round selection, did not look like a capable tackle through training camp and two preseason games.

However, give the kid from Sioux Falls some credit: He played much better against the Seahawks.

This is not to say Pipkins was perfect; immediately after fans began to praise him, he had a false start penalty.
