Chargers recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Monday

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego Chargers will don pink equipment, use game balls with pink ribbon decals and pink kicking tees during Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Qualcomm Stadium in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

There will also be on-field pink ribbon stencils and "A Crucial Catch" wall banners will be displayed.

The Chargers will recognize 40 breast cancer survivors on the field during pregame activities. The women will form a pink ribbon for a check presentation, then remain on the field for the national anthem.

Zeta Tau Alpha sorority members will provide pink ribbons and information cards at the gates, with 120 sorority members carrying the flag, a giant pink ribbon and stars during the national anthem.
