One of the more unique issues has been plaguing most of the NFL, but a solution seems to have presented itself. The Los Angeles Chargers are not alone here, as most of the second round in the 2025 NFL Draft remains unsigned. Even as training camps begin across the league, most of the second round do not have their rookie contracts.
This was spurred by the Houston Texans giving their second-round rookie, WR Jayden Higgins, a fully-guaranteed deal, the first for a second-rounder in the history of the NFL. And as you can imagine, this has forced many second-rounders to also want something similar to what Higgins got.
