On Thursday, veteran wide receiver Mike Williams informed the Los Angeles Chargers he was retiring. The team brought Williams back this offseason, and was planning for him to have a big role in the offense, but that plan won’t come to fruition. This led to everyone speculating how Los Angeles would replace Williams. Signing rookie Tre Harris was a great first step, but it won’t be enough.
Of course, a Keenan Allen reunion was immediately brought up as a possibility, and so was an Amari Cooper signing. While both moves would be good for the Chargers, a franchise legend had an even bigger move in mind.
