In this ESPN Insider piece, NFL Insider John Clayton put together his top 25 free agents for 2017. And one player from the San Diego Chargers was on the list, edge rusher Melvin Ingram.
Ingram finished as the team’s sack leader last season with 10.5 sacks, the first time a San Diego player finished with double-digit sacks since Antwan Barnes had 11 sacks in 2011.
The Chargers picked up Ingram’s fifth-year option for the 2016 season, with the South Carolina product earning a $7.75 million salary this year.
