First-round pick Omarion Hampton hasn't been the instant catalyst to the LA Chargers' offense that fans were expecting. Even without that, the Chargers are 2-0 on the season with two dominating performances against division rivals.
Chargers fans were stoked when the team took the UNC running back with the No. 22 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. After all, Hampton was the clear RB2 behind Ashton Jeanty in the draft class and could have been the RB1 in most classes.
The draft profile has not matched his production early on and his head coach is already challenging him to be better.
