The Los Angeles Chargers have their “initial” 53 man roster for the 2019 season.
There are a few surprises here.
The team went with 5th round pick Easton Stick over Cardale Jones, despite Jones having the better preseason. Honestly, this was the right move, Stick has more room to grow here and Jones had progressed slowly over multiple seasons.
The team is rolling with only 4 Safeties right now. Adrian Phillips, Rayshawn Jenkins, Roderic Teamer, and Nassir Adderley. Derwin James will be placed on the IR tomorrow so that he can return this season.
