The Chargers have been patient with Forrest Lamp for years now, and it sounds like they’ll be patient a little bit longer before inserting him into the starting lineup.
Personally, though Lamp would likely be the better of the two in the long run, I don’t believe Feeney lost the battle and I don’t think Lamp outright won the battle for left guard. Facing the Seattle Seahawks in the third preseason game, it looked as if both had similar levels of play, albeit at two different positions. Feeney, to his credit, looks much smarter in pass protection this year.
