It’s still fairly early in the offseason but the players we’ve all been hoping to hear about at this point are doing their thing and making their presence felt.
Rashawn Slater plays a less-than-glamorous position so it’s understandable we’re not going to hear his name all that much when it comes to highlight-reel plays, but the team’s second-round pick, Asante Samuel Jr., is most certainly going to be that type of player during OTAs and training camp due to his position and importance to Brandon Staley’s defense.
In recent list of each team’s rookie to keep an eye on, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski pointed to Samuel as that player for the Chargers.
