With both Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams nursing knee injuries, the Chargers have looked outside the organization to provide depth to the wide receiver position. Today, they claimed wide receiver Jeremy Butler off waivers from the New York Jets. Butler is 6’2”, 213 lbs and hauled in 31 passes on 44 targets for 363 yards last season as a member of the Baltimore Ravens. Butler put up 38 DYAR and had a DVOA of -1.4% that season.
To free up the roster spot needed to claim Butler, the Chargers have waived Isaiah Burse yet again.
