Both the Chargers and Broncos will be trotting out backups at a number of prominent positions today, including both teams utilizing a backup quarterback. Easton Stick has started last week for the Chargers in a near-win against the Bills while Jarrett Stidham takes the reigns for the Broncos from a benched Russell Wilson. Both teams will also be without their top wideouts: Keenan Allen for the Chargers and Courtland Sutton for the Broncos.
As of Sunday morning, the Chargers are still 3.5-point underdogs on the road, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
While this game doesn’t sound like the most appealing option to watch this Sunday, the fact that a number of young Chargers are expected to see increased opportunities is reason enough to tune in and see who is putting it all on the line in hopes of securing a job for the 2023 season.
