Antonio Cromartie retires after 11 NFL seasons

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie announced his retirement on Monday after 11 NFL seasons.

He made the announcement on Instagram, thanking the Chargers, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals organizations. He also thanked his wife Terricka, writing he will hold onto her words "football is your platform Antonio, it's not your purpose" as he begins his post-football pursuits.

Today is the day Iufe0f knew Iufe0f would eventually have to face, but one I never wanted to accept. After 27 years of playing football, today I say farewell. God blessed me with the opportunity to play in the NFL for 11 years, and after much consideration and prayer, I'd like to officially announce my retirement.
