3 Draft Day Trades The San Diego Chargers Could Make

The 2015 NFL Draft is under a month away, which means draft trade rumors are about to get extremely loud around the league. The San Diego Chargers are one team that could be in the mix for some draft day hijinx, but what/who exactly would they look to trade for? Here's 3 Draft Day Trades The San Diego Chargers Could Make.

1. Trade QB Philip Rivers and #17 pick to Tennessee for the #2 pick and #33 pick (2nd round) in 2015

CBS Sports' Will Brinson brought up this possibility a couple weeks ago, and it makes sense financially if not emotionally. San Diego would ostensibly be trading away one year of control over Rivers (and a looming $100 million price tag they're unlikely to be able to afford) for five years of control over either Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. The clincher here would be the #33 pick -- a selection that could very well net a game-changer in this deep 2015 draft class.

2. Trade QB Philip Rivers and #17 pick to New York Jets for #6 pick and #70 pick (3rd round) in 2015

Same song as before, but different chorus. The Jets are currently hitching their wagon to either Ryan Fitzpatrick or Geno Smith (eek), and you can't count them out when it comes to looking for improvement under center -- especially with the positive direction the team's offseason has taken under a new regime. San Diego wouldn't be likely to land a 1st and 2nd for the Jets' 6th pick, but the #6 and #70 aren't out of the realm of possibility.

3. Trade #17 pick to Dallas for #27 pick and mid-rounder in 2015

If San Diego is willing to trade down and maybe hope for a running back like Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon to fall to the end of the 1st round, they could feasibly extract a swap and a mid-rounder from Dallas -- especially if the Cowboys' have their hearts set on Kentucky pass rusher Bud Dupree as some think they do.
