Despite pitching well in a rehab start last Thursday for the Inland Empire 66’ers, Jered Weaver will be back on the mound again Tuesday night vs. Lake Elsinore at San Manuel Stadium. Weaver was hoping to be back on Tuesday pitching for the Angels vs. the Cleveland Indians, but the decision was made to have him pitch in one more rehab start on Tuesday. In the start Weaver is scheduled to throw between 75 and 80 pitches. If all goes well he could rejoin the Angels rotation next weekend against the Baltimore Orioles.
Weaver said he felt he could have thrown more pitches in his first rehab start if he had been allowed to do so.
