According to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, two players in the Angels’ organization tested positive for coronavirus. The names of the players with the virus are remaining confidential, so it’s unclear as to whether or not they are players on the active roster or players in their minor-league system.
Billy Eppler, the Angels’ general manager, said on Friday that neither of the players had been working out at Angel Stadium or the club’s Spring Training complex in Tempe, Arizona. Since at least the middle of May, the Angels have been hosting limited workouts at Angel Stadium in Anaheim and Tempe Diablo Stadium in Arizona.
