Matt-Shoemaker-LAA-Ace failed to make the flight to ChiTown, and Sosh was forced to substitute Matt-Shoemaker-AAA-prospect. All while the Halo Offense went into Ghost Mode again. It all adds up to "L".
Last night was just a gentle reminder that this team still sucks. Success only comes when the pitching is rock solid, the good half of the lineup manages to carry the gaping holes in the lesser half, and somebody in that lesser half has a unicorn game. Last night we got none of those things, hence the final score in an 8-2 loss.
The offense was quieted by Chris Sale, which would normally by excusable since this guy is an All-Star, CYA candidate, stud.
