ANAHEIM -- Mike Trout homered on Monday night for the first time in four games since returning from the disabled list, hooking a solo shot just inside the left-field foul pole in the sixth inning of the Angels' series opener against the Rockies at Angel Stadium.
Trout's 31st home run of the season and his first since July 31 gave the Angels a 5-2 lead against Colorado right-hander Jon Gray. He also put the Angels on the board with an RBI single in the fourth inning.

Trout missed 15 games with right wrist inflammation before being activated off the disabled list on Friday.
