It will be four months later than originally planned, but the Angels have a new date for spring training. Camps will open on next Wednesday, July 1, after MLB players and owners resolved all health and safety protocols on Tuesday.
The schedule will be 60 games, and should be finalized later this week. There are no details just yet, but it appears the Angels will play two-thirds of their games against the American League West and the remainder against the National League West.
This agreement between MLB and the MLB Players Association rejected the owners’ final offer of 60 games, which included expanded playoffs and a few other benefits but also included both sides waiving their right to a grievance over the negotiations.
