The Angels were always going to lose to Mike Minor, but the manner of it was something special

Rangers 5 Angels FREAKING NIL

The Angels were three-hit by a pitcher who used to be a failed relief pitcher. They scored zero runs, had zero extra base hits, showed zero effort, and came away with zero expectations remaining for the rest of the week. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday.

In a shutout loss, the general consensus is that “You can’t win if you don’t score.” It is a very true adage. That said, we always knew we weren’t going to score. This was a given loss, the second-most blatantly obvious of the season’s third week (behind an upcoming home game against Marco Gonzales), so watching the team struggle to even get to second base after the first wasn’t exactly a shocker.
