Angels general manager Billy Eppler had stated on Monday that he could “kick a field goal if [he] wanted to, but let’s go for a touchdown”, in a statement to team reporters.
He’s walking that statement back now, saying that the Angels are “off the football field now”. Eppler claims smaller things are able to be accomplished right now.

"I'm not going to go there any more. We're off the football field now. There are smaller things we can do right now, and there's a chance to do things that are above smaller.
