Angels 1 Mariners 8
The Angels kicked off their series against the Mariners with a clamorous dud, a spectacularly poor and dull performance that saw almost no life from the Halos, and a slew of runs from Seattle.
Ricky Nolasco didn’t have a surprise gem in his pocket tonight, as he gave up four runs off of six hits in six innings, then Deolis Guerra and Brett Oberholtzer gave up two runs apiece in relief. Eight runs on the board for the Mariners off of 12 hits, vexing on multiple levels and the one run the Angels had was from a Cliff Pennington single in the 7th.
