Ohtani & Angels start the 4th of July holiday festivities with a dud in Safeco against Mariners

Hopefully the neighborhood that you happen to live in is one that goes off for the 4th of July holiday, at least in terms of fireworks. Some Halos fans may have been hoping to get a head start on that type of fun from today's series opener Reedagainst the Mariners, but right no5w it looks like you are neighbor are your only chance to get an early 4th of July display of bombastic and entertaining power. That's all due to the fact that the Halos went down with nary a speck of fight in them at Safeco Field this evening, losing the game 4-1.
