The clock continues to tick towards this year's trade deadline, and while the market for starting pitchers remains slim, the Los Angeles Angels might have the opportunity to use starter Joe Smith as one of their few trade pieces this summer.
Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe writes that a number of teams are exploring the possibility of Smith as a setup man for their bullpens.
As for exactly where Smith could land, Cafardo lists the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox as potential good fits for the 32-year-old.
