On September 9, 2012 the Angels finished off a weekend series with the Tigers in Anaheim, with Zack Greinke facing Anibal Sanchez on the mound.
Trout got things started leading off the first inning, hitting Sanchez’s second pitch of the game over the wall in right center field.
