Mike Trout breaks out of a slump in a fury and makes his biggest fan happy

It was Mike Trout’s day. That cannot be disputed.

It all started with ESPN writer Jeff Passan’s article. He documented the story of Gavin Edelson, just your everyday kid who loves Trout. Trout was able to talk with Gavin last year when the Angels visited Baltimore, even promising that he would hit a HR that day. He delivered.

Trout made the same exact promise Friday night.

He later added an RBI double and a walk.

Trevor Cahill got the start, and coming off a disastrous outing in Mexico, he pitched well. He lasted 6 innings, only giving up two runs and probably could have stayed in the game for more, had there not been a lengthy rain delay after the sixth inning.
