In this case, it’s the 6th Silver Slugger Award for Mike Trout who has received the award every year except for his injury-shortened 2017 campaign. The Silver Slugger award is voted on by MLB managers and coaches.
Andrelton Simmons was Wilson Defensive Player of the Year AGAIN at short stop - a feat he has accomplished in 5 of his 6 big league season. Like Trout, he only missed the award once and it was due to an injury shortened season in 2016.
