Adding insult to the Angels’ 7-3 loss against the Rays on Monday was the injury to Anthony Rendon. The third baseman fouled a ball off his left knee in the eighth inning and could not finish his at-bat while also needing assistance getting off the field.
After the game, manager Joe Maddon said X-rays were negative and Rendon is listed as day-to-day.
