With this offseason gearing up to be a crazy one, the LA Angels seem to be preparing for action. On Friday, the team announced via Twitter that they released five players, and that each one cleared waivers.
The following players have cleared waivers and have been removed from the 40-man roster:
RHP Eduardo Paredes
RHP Odrisamer Despaigne
INF Jefry Marte
RHP Deck McGuire
C Francisco ArciaAlso, all players on the 60-day DL have been reinstated.

Among these players, a few of them were surprising to see released.
