So far both Jones and Castillo have done pretty well which is music the LA Angels ears. The pair of Angels prospects are playing for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League. The first week of the AFL has come and gone and both have done very well. Jesus Castillo has only pitched once so far on Monday afternoon and he was sensational going three innings giving up no runs on three hits and five big strikeouts earning the victory.
Castillo is listed as the #12 prospect in the Angels minor league system. He pitched the whole season in Double-A Mobile going 9-5 with a 4.
