Justin Upton had his best game of the season on Friday night, going 3-for-4 with the go-ahead RBI in the seventh to help guide the Angels to a 3-2 win over the Mariners.
Coming into the game, Upton was by far the worst hitter in all of baseball. He entered the contest hitting .099 (7-for-71) and was hitting .045 (2-for-44) over his last 13 games. Entering the night, he had yet to record a multi-hit game on the year. Not only did he have his first multi-hit game, he had his first three-hit game since August 14, 2018.
