Just call him player of the century - Angels' Mike Trout hits homer No. 100 (and 101)

HOUSTON – Mike Trout made history in the Angels’ 6-3 victory over the Houston Astros on Friday night.

Trout hit the 100th and 101st homers of his career, becoming the youngest player in major league history to hit 100 homers and steal 100 bases.

Trout, who has 102 stolen bases, is 23 and 251 days old, 58 days younger than Alex Rodriguez was when he reached the milestone in 1999.

Trout’s first homer of the night, his first since opening day, gave the Angels a 3-1 lead in the sixth inning. It also extended his season-opening hitting streak to 10 games.
