SEATTLE – Jered Weaver had a short temper, and as a result, a short night on the mound.
Weaver was ejected in the fifth inning of the Angels’ 3-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night after he followed a verbal confrontation with Kyle Seager by hitting him with a pitch.
That ended the night for Weaver and the loss pushed the Angels another step closer to the end of their season.
Now down to their final 17 games, every loss is painful for the Angels as they try to squeeze into the playoffs.
