How Will LA Angels Adapt to Life Without Tyler Skaggs?

The move will be retroactive to April 13th, so the LA Angels won’t have Skaggs back until next Tuesday at the earliest. The injury happened on a bunt against the Cubs, when Skaggs planted his foot awkwardly and saw a sudden drop in velocity.

I took a rudimentary video over @RhettBollinger shoulder of the play Skaggs got hurt on. Skaggs’ left leg landed a tad awkwardly and he hopped off. Seems slight. His fastball velo dropped to 87 mph (was around 91-92) two pitches later because he couldn’t push off well. pic.twitter.com/88ZDPqv4uN

While the Angels are lucky it’s only a short trip to the IL for Skaggs, they’ll still need to fill the void as best as possible.
